"Night in broad daylight, under 1001 stars".
Who hasn't dreamed, eyes wide open, of spending an evening under the stars, under a glittering canopy?
This holiday will be an opportunity to make that daydream come true, in order to :
🌙 discover mountain nightlife and its adaptations,
⛺ talk bivouac with the right gestures and habits.
Surrounded by astronomy* and wildlife experts
🌞 days: discovering the nature reserve
⭐and nights: learn all about the stars in our hemisphere,
🌪but also about light pollution - disturbance / climate change ;
🧙♂️ tales and legends to demystify the night!
The program:
Day 1, Friday 27/09 (arrival at 5pm at Le Pontet campsite, 2km walk)
> Presentation and opening of stay at Le Pontet, bivouac-style tent set-up
> 6.30pm-7.30pm: Aude Nowak gives a 1-hour artistic and technical presentation on astrophotography.
> Return to campsite at 7:45pm for dinner
> 9-10pm: 2km walk from the Nature domes to the Sainte Chapelle, to immerse yourself in the night.
Day 2, Saturday 28/09 (5 km, 800m D+)
> 9:30 am: climb to the refuge des Prés through the forest (atmosphere and legends)
> Picnic at the refuge
> Afternoon: making sundials and learning about the stars and the solar system
> Evening star-gazing with the Mont d'Arbois Astronomie association, storytelling and legends.
Day 3, Sunday 29/09
> Descent via La Balme, landscape reading, butterflies / moths
> Picnic at La Giettaz
> Return to Le Pontet at 3pm
Price includes:
🚶♀️ 2 days' discovery of the mountain environment supervised by a mountain guide.
🥪 Meals and picnics.
🛏 1 night's bivouac at the Le Pontet campsite and 1 night's half-board dormitory accommodation at the Refuge des Prés (bring your own sheet).
Price does not include:
🥤 Extras (drinks and other personal expenses.)
Course limited to 12 people. The organization reserves the right to cancel in the event of insufficient numbers. In the event of cancellation by the organization, participants will receive a full refund.
* minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All participants must be individually insured.
